TEAM XLR8 RACEWEAR was started and is based in Toledo, Ohio by an Auto-X racer who had an active background of snow skiing, mt. biking, motorcycles, and other physically demanding sports. For each sport, he spent hundreds of dollars on specific active wear to help him reach his full potential. He then went to his first Auto-X event not expecting to find himself sweaty and tired from not only driving his car, but from working on the hot asphalt course. After experiencing this and seeing other drivers wet and uncomfortable in their cotton clothing, he decided to do something about it. TEAM XLR8 RACEWEAR was created to keep you dry, comfortable, and focused so you can reach your full potential as a driver.
Wicking is the physical action of drawing liquid moisture (sweat) away from the body and moving it to another surface or layer (clothing). Typically, this means that a hydrophilic layer next to the skin must attract the sweat and begin passing that moisture through the membrane or fabric of the garment to the exterior where it can be evaporated. |
